Comprehensive Examination & Emergency Dental - Sydney

At your first visit to Drummoyne Dental Care we will do a full comprehensive oral examination, to make sure we cover everything from the beginning.

Your examination will start by going through your medical history and having a discussion in regards to any dental concerns you may have or simply if you would like some information on procedures or products we can offer you.

We then check all of your soft tissues for oral cancers, check your TMJ joints and then we begin to examine your teeth for cavities, cracks and leakage around old restorations.  We may need to take a digital image of both the right and left hand side of your mouth so we can examine for decay in between the teeth which without these images can go undetected as it is not visible in the mouth.  These images only need to be taken every 2 years.

We will go around each tooth individually with an intraoral camera and show you exactly what we can see on our large television screen

We look at your mouth and teeth overall and discuss any treatment that may be required and also any treatment which we may think you should consider planning for in the future. 

We then refer you to our hygienist to give your teeth a clean and to check your gum health.  This can all be done on the one day or you can break it up into separate visits, whichever suits you better.

If dental treatment is required then we will need to schedule all your future appointments on the day and you can discuss any costs associated with the treatment with our Front office co-ordinator or Practice Manager.
